Happy Holidays! – Atlantic Terminal/PLG

The Holidays provide us with a moment to reflect on our experiences throughout the year, allowing us to appreciate the ups and downs as we each traverse through the journey of life. At the end of each year, we come together to enjoy each other’s time and company. Being able to spend these moments with friends, family, and community and elicit joy in others is what makes it all worth it. As such, this holiday season, the Wholly Medical Supplies team organized a pair of events to spread joy and happiness.

Firstly, it is well-known that the weather in New York constantly calls for appropriate clothing to match the season, especially now with freezing temperatures reaching as low as 19 degrees. So, with the assistance of the PLG community on Linden Boulevard and New York Cares in Brooklyn, New York, Wholly Medical Supplies was able to field donations of 57 winter coats, along with other clothing items, worth approximately $2,850 in two weeks for the New York Cares Coat Drive, ensuring warmth for numerous individuals this winter. Secondly, at Atlantic Terminal Mall in Brooklyn, New York, the Wholly Medical Supplies team gave away roughly $1100 worth of holiday toys to children and families just in time for Christmas. From Barbies to Rubik’s Cubes, there was something for every child to enjoy. Being able to see the excitement on children’s faces as they received a Hello Kitty Plushie or Lego Sports Car makes what we do worthwhile. Remembering those moments when we were once kids ourselves and the difference a single toy could make. We are eternally grateful to have the opportunity to give back and improve our community!
